This is just gonna be bits of lore from where Pixose comes from, told around the fire pit that is in their festival area to the few that live in their town (it was not really edited so if it's bad, that might be why). The image is the sketch mentioned and the actual mushrooms are in the sketch IC.
Looking over the fire pit that had been going for hours, Pixose takes a breath and says “Well if you are so interested in where I came from, I guess I can talk about the kinds of beings I grew up around.” They take out a small book as they speak, opening it to show different sketches as they continue in their story.
“Most of the beings I grew up around were of some kind of mushroom species, some more humanoid than others, but each and every one had their own lives and their own roles in our society.” After flipping through a few pages, they stayed on one and continued “Before I left, I remember hearing the stories told by this one wonderful lady. She used to gather some of the children around and entertain them until all of the parents came to collect them. The most common themes were of fae and how they interacted with humans, different deals that she had supposedly overheard many many years before, how they danced and sang throughout the night, and so much more. Though most were on the theatrical side of what happened, it kept all of the gathered kids entertained for hours on the edge of their seats waiting for what happened next. She didn’t miss a single day in the 30-ish years that I lived near that park and was extremely talented in her craft.” The fire pit had gotten small enough that the audience could barely see the book that was still open to the same sketch. Many had decided that it was late enough but asked for more stories another time and Pixose couldn’t say no with how enthusiastic those leaving had asked. For those that stayed, Pixose talked about the mushroom species that the lady had grown from. Once that was over, everyone went home content with the story they had just heard, waiting for the next one.
