There have been new, strange creatures running around this place. They appear to be some sort of frog, though they walk on two legs. They seem to be capable of speech, and complex reasoning on par with most other sentient creatures. They seem to be incredibly violent, however. I saw one break a man's legs with a copper pipe the other day after talking to them. 

They seem to differentiate themselves with their outfits, as they are otherwise identical. There seem to be more by the day, however. Are they multiplying or simply moving in from new areas? I try to watch where they end up, but after certain points the moment they are out of sight they just seem to... disappear.

At first I expected them to be killed off by the tree creature, as they are normally the one to deal with threats, but for some reason it is almost like they can't even see them. There was one that attempted to stab it's leg, and a branch shot out and stabbed through the frog, but even after that the tree seemed confused as to what hit it. Nobody else seems to struggle to see these creatures, perhaps some sort of spell has been cast?

I do not know what these creatures are, but they seem to be evolving, becoming more sophisticated, more powerful. They started as a simple small band, and have rapidly been transforming into an organized crime ring. I've seen them working poker tables, escorting high profile targets with weaponry like I've never seen, hell I even saw one with some sort of advanced alchemy set. 

For the time being, I'm going to stay away from them.
