A conflict has broken out across the continent over the invasion of Oakhold. Despite the distance, this nation too seems to have joined in. They seem to be preparing for a long war, since they have begun stockpiling large amounts of weapons, armor, and food. The tree creature has been particularly active. They seem to be near constantly moving, between checking on the various projects and transforming into their flying form and going... somewhere... 

Their was a large scuffle within the library this evening, and a dozen well armed fighters and mages came out of nowhere and slaughtered what I believe was the King of Tyrmrdis. The tree creature... it tortured him... it slowly ate his blood and organs while he was alive, ripping apart his muscles. Why didn't he just kill him first? Why make him suffer so much before allowing another cut finally cut his head? It also cut off its arm as some sort of sick trophy. 

I'm not sure this war will be as long as was originally planned...
