Journal Entry #7: The Yetis
Started by Kribys

After the decimation of the local ecosystem by the introduction of the monsters inhabiting this nation, the intelligent yeti's seem to have formed into a group and have entered through the nation's main gate. Within seconds the tree creature had arrived, seemingly knowing they were coming somehow. Some appeared scared of the creature's appearance, having seen hundreds of their kind slaughtered indiscriminately previously. Others had a slight fury in their eyes. The one in the front, seemingly the oldest, however, had a complex emotion depicted upon their face. They began to speak, asking for refuge for their people, that their lives be spared.

I honestly expected them to be run through with a root in an instance like so many before them, but shockingly the tree creature agreed. They began carving out a small village for the yeti's in the side of a mountain. It created homes for them, even moving in furniture. The yeti's did not leave their cave very often, rarely interacting with any outside of the tree creature. It brought them more raw chicken than I had imagined existed within miles on a weekly basis, and kept them well stocked with plants and herbs.

The yeti's seemed to quickly forget the endless slaughter that occurs on the less intelligent members of their species. I can't tell if they look down on them as a coping mechanism, or because of brainwashing from the tree creature. Either way, I feel a sense of pity for the creatures. They have forgotten they are prisoners, not citizens. What horrible plans does this sick creature have for these poor yetis?
