This document exists to list the properties and appearance of many wondrous mushrooms that have settled in MyleHatsu. It is currently unknown what caused them to appear, but all, except Puffy, appeared after the reforestation efforts.

"Funky"

This special specimen likes to talk, when it does, the sounds resonate from the body itself.

It's not very smart however, or at least not very motivated to talk about most things. Its favorite words are: Food, Podzol, Friend; in that order. It seems like it doesn't understand words much, but it does tend to repeat words spoken to it or in general vicinity.

These mushrooms can talk, although with some incentive.

If you leave a small offering to them and ask a question. Depending on if they liked the offering they will either tell you a truth and a lie or two lies about the subject matter. If they don't know the answer, they will simply reject the offering and stay silent.

"Boff"

Boff likes to puff spores at people nearby. This usually results in a surface level infection that makes the subject grow orange mushrooms on their skin.

A good wash usually cures any infection. It doesn't have any particularly nasty symptoms outside of the visual changes.

"Puffy"

Puffy is the wisest and oldest named mushroom in MyleHatsu. He has some history knowledge picked up from adventurers at the guild.

He doesn't speak, so a spell is required to communicate with him. Puffy himself can cast simple spells, but doesn't use that ability much because he is very solitary.

"The three great ones"

These mushrooms seem to be particularly noteworthy, displaying some sort of divine or magical nature. All of them are capable of speech, but usually don't speak unless they find it absolutely necessary. All of them appeared overnight on the mycelium patches on the roof of our university. They seem to snoop on the lectures and feed on the ideas and knowledge within the university.

Some citizens even began to leave offerings… on the roof… not sure how they got there in the first place…

"Learning"

The first of the great three. This mushroom seems to take great, but not particularly attentive interest in everything around the world. It hungers for all new sources of information and has countless tendrils it uses to explore everything in it's vicinity.

"Knowledge"

The second of the great ones. Its massive cap holds a vast array of knowledge, manifesting as light. They keep bouncing inside the cap, forming new connection and making sense of the world bit by bit. He is the encyclopedia of vast knowledge, with a desire to memorise everything possible.

"Wisdom"

The third and final of the great three. Trying to make sense of it all and what matters. Through the mycelial connection, he forms theories about things the others two have found. He often acts on his own, spreading his spores in deliberate ways, to relieve his own anxieties. He may warn other mycelyites occasionally, as to prevent them from doing something terrible.

It is currently unknown why the great three have appeared or why they hold a significant amount of divine power. But it seems like they were made, directly or indirectly, by the power of Lady Mycelyix herself.
