Entry 1 of month one:
This is the start of my journal, as advised by my WIFE. Whom may be already reading this. I know you are Aldra!
Anyway, let me start. It's been quite an interesting and eventful month. The king is still missing, not that I know the guy. But I heard he was a good king. I wonder what the regent is doing? I recently heard that she was the one who was the mastermind behind the kidnapping of the king, but I think that's baseless. After all, if she really did do it. How would the information turn into a rumor, a common rumor that's spread around the fields? But I guess I can understand where the suspicion is coming from, after all, she hasn't bothered to do any mass outreach to find her father.
The season has been quite well, though. Ever since the king went missing.
Saw a huge pumpkin near the fields, and was thinking of hauling it away to sell. Maybe I'll hire Edward to help me move it over to the market. I think it'd fetch me a thousand crimin, easily. But the wife thinks otherwise.
( I'm just saying dear, that pumpkin can easily feed a village. And it should be worth so.)
I wonder what or who the parties are that rule us. I mean, the regent didn't technically get the rule of thumb under Planu. And Richard, alongside that Deepmark fellow went missing. There's been no announcements from the wealthy or the regent, which is strange considering these rapid disappearances.
Whatever, I don't get paid to handle politics anyway. Grandpops always told us stories about Remus and his struggles in politics when he wasn't involved.
Do wonder where the old man is, Rhaegal. I know you and some of the other villagers seem to dislike him. But I get a sense of security when he is in the city, a sense I never get from the security of Grastagg. I mean, the bank doesn't even have a guard inside for gods sake!
Don't even get me started on the strange distortions in the water. I heard uncle Unimi went mad after seeing things by the shoreline when he tried fishing by the docks, and I haven't seen him since he went out for that fishing trip. It still haunts me when I hear his family's screams in the streets to find him...
Like I said! No security at all!
But I already imagine your voice dear, to just "avoid the danger, focus on our family".. And I know. I have already heard the stories of what change does to a family from Gramps. Perhaps these are just my baseless theories.
I just want you to know dear, I promise.. I'll do whatever I can to protect you three.
